I wrote this one around 2003, but didn’t think about it again until last year.

I woke up one morning and recorded this in my bedroom. Straight out of bed, messy hair and all.

Lyrics

I can't bank upon tomorrow
The price I pay is more than I can borrow
Fate is someone I can recognize
to teach me
a thing or two
if you're willing to

And don't say it if you don't know
you can't erase the words like it's some
crossword game
a seven letter phrase that could make me
lose you
But I'll chose you
If you want me to
If you want me too

  1. I love this one too. Reminds me of Ron Sexsmith.
