I wrote “At Ease” around 1998 or so, around the time I first heard Elliott Smith. I was initially drawn to his Beatlesque influences that he seemed to wear so effortlessly on his sleeve.

I was really curious about how Han and Sadie would do this one, and was pleasantly surprised when I heard it. It’s got that nod to the Beatles’ “Revolution” with the “shooby-doo-wops” yet they manage to make it distinctly their own. They did another version of it that is even more orchestrated that I like alot as well…
