“Armed with an acoustic guitar and an active imagination, Goh Nakamura strums to the beat of a processed drum machine, singing the minimum wage, dial-up connection blues.
Like Neil Finn gone broke or a male version of Mary Lou Lord, Nakamura could be a patron saint for lonely code warriors with good record collections.
Geekdom doesn’t get any more pronounced than on “N.P.”, a wistful stalker anthem about a girl in a Star Wars trilogy.”

Anyone know of a place I can play in L.A. sometime on or between july 14-19? (not the 15th though) I’m thinking coffee shops, open mics, ajar mics, house concerts, closet concerts, galleries, gallows, galleys, etc…

I’m driving down there for one gig- I thought I might as well try and book another one for the hell of it…

Next gig: July 9 (next friday!) I’ll be playing @ ICAN Gallery w. the brilliant Dan Lee of Scrabbel/Aisler’s Set and the always soulful Golda Supanova!

All ages $5-20 sliding scale
Doors @ 8, music starts at 9
