Friday February 20th 2004, 11:59 am

I am playing a gig on my old home turf, in the south bay!

Saturday Feb.21 and 28th.
Blue Rock Shoot
14523 Big Basin Way (in downtown Saratoga)
Saratoga, CA 95070
Set is from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

I like this place, it reminds me of Frontier Land in Disneyland…
Hope to see ya!

“I’ve been wading through all this unbelievable junk and wondering if I should’ve given the world to the mokeys…”
-Elvis Costello from “God’s Comic”

The Mocha Monkey aka Jay Jao that is… Jay was kind enough to document the last gig visually. Click on “jay’s week” then you’ll find a link for Feb 17. I also have a bootleg of that night soon to be posted.

Thanks to Yumi, Dan, Sam, Jim and Ben for sharing their talents!

I’m looking to play some gigs in the south and east bays- anywhere actually. If you have any suggestions for cool places to play, let me know. I’d prefer to play quieter venues- like a gallery or small theater, even someone’s house if they’d have me. Somewhere where I can be all that I can be.

CD’s are now available! You can get one for $10 at one of the gigs, or email me and I’ll get one to you.

the track listing:

Daylight Savings
At Ease
N.P.
Embarcadero Blues
El Camino
Z=Zero Game
Pigeon Toes
Y.T.
Highway Flowers
Surrogate Valentine

Hello San Francisco!!!!!!!
Friday February 13th 2004, 2:33 am

Here’s some Bootlegs from the Tuesday night gig at Ireland’s 32. A very imperfect performance, but fun to play!

some covers I attempted: Indoor Fireworks - Elvis Costello
Thinking Out Loud - Ron Sexsmith
Maybe I’m Amazed - Paul McCartney
Better Be Home Soon - Neil Finn
Billie Jean -M.Jackson
2:45 - Elliott Smith
and a Beatles “karaoke jam” with Dan Lee of Scrabbel.
Just to warn you, these files are pretty large (48-61mb) so you should probably open it in Safari and stream it.
Mucho Domo Arigato Thanks Gozaimasu to Gary Chou for bootlegging and painstakingly uploading them.

Just A few Things
Thursday February 12th 2004, 1:49 am

I did my first official “photo shoot” in various locations in SF last weekend. I felt so special, especially after giving an impromptu perfomance of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” to a captivated 3 year old girl. It’s all for the kids yo. I think a future album will be called “songs the kids like yo”

So, yeah, I got some pictures taken for an upcoming interview (another first!)… hopefully it will get published in a local music publication in May. Cool!

Thanks to he multi-talented/lingual Nathalie R. who has a cool site called Headphonerecord She also sings in the lovely and mighty Scrabbel.

also a shout out to Min Jung for the kind words (compared me to Colin Hay! wow!) and soundclips.

More later, I’m tired and must give time to my dreams…

Oyasumi Nasai…

My sister drew this of me awhile back.

It is a contender for album cover, though it might forever ruin my street cred.

(What street cred… Sesame Street?)

Any How, I am also tossing around album titles:

Daylight Savings
Old School Hits Collection Vol. 1
Where is the Love?
Songs in the Key of H
Self Titled
Curious Seasons
Stereotyperighter

Suggestions?
